MEASURE
Example Measurement Drawing:
CEILING HEIGHT:

Measure from floor to ceiling

SOFFIT:

If you have a soffit, measure from the floor to the bottom of the soffit
WINDOWS:

Width: Include the frame in your measurement; measure from the outside of the frame on the left to the outside of the frame on the right

Height: Include the frame and windowsill in your measurement; measure from the top of the frame to the bottom of the windowsill

From Floor: Measure from the floor to the bottom of the windowsill (frame/windowsill is NOT included in measurement)
FRAMED DOORS:

Width: Include the frame in your measurement; measure from the outside of the frame on the left to the outside of the frame on the right

Hinge: Note where the door is hinged, left or right; mark this and the swing of the door (into or out of the room) by drawing a slanted line; see example pdf
UNFRAMED DOORWAY:

Width: Measure from the end of the wall to the beginning of the next wall
WALLS:

Total Length: Measure from wall to wall

In-between Lengths: Measure wall space to the left, right, and between doorways & windows; (do NOT include the frames in these
measurements)
The addition of doors, windows, and the space between them should equal your total wall to wall measurement
